| I'm afraid that number's ex-directory young boobies The new discovery is the result of a collaboration led by Drs. Zita Martins of Imperial College London, Mark Price of the University of Kent, and Nir Goldman of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The researchers recreated an impact using an experimental setup at the University of Kent, in which projectiles were fired out of a high-speed gun. Propelled by compressed gas, the projectiles struck their targets at speeds of 7.15 kilometers per second. The targets were a series of ice mixtures, similar in composition to comets. The impacts created amino acids such as glycine and D- and L-alanine. | Royce aubreyk73@lycos.com |
