This ruling was kind of a subtle jab at the President and Congress to take on the issue properly, instead of sweeping it under the rug. In other words, if the President and Congress oppose the repository, then CHANGE THE LAW, rather then just withholding funding for the law’s implementation. The law was created by congress and President, and it can be undone or amended by them as well. Ignoring a law and simply withholding money strikes me as a cowardly and underhanded way to do business, regardless of the law at hand. This is not we elect our politicians to do. |
